Proftest SYKE carried out the proficiency test for the determination of chlorine, KMnO4, NO3, pH, turbidity, and urea in swimming pool waters in February 2016. In total, 23 participants joined in the proficiency test. The robust mean of the results reported by the participants was chosen to be the assigned value for the concentration of most measurands. The performance of the participants was evaluated by using z scores. In this proficiency test 94 % of the results were satisfactory when in the pH determination 0.2 pH unit and in other determinations the deviation between 8–35 % from the assigned value was accepted.
